About the Role
We are currently expanding our EMEA Executive Compensation advisory consulting team and seeking an Associate Consultant for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The Executive Compensation team, primarily based in London, is part of Aon’s wider Human Capital Solutions advisory practice and will open a second regional executive compensation hub in Hamburg, Germany, in 2026. We focus on sectors such as financial services, technology, and life sciences, utilizing data from the Radford McLagan Compensation Database. Our services include executive remuneration strategy, pay benchmarking, and corporate governance advice during critical growth stages, including IPO preparations. Candidates should have experience in management consulting or compensation, with native/business fluent German required.
As an Associate Consultant your key responsibilities will involve
- Provision of Executive Compensation consulting services; including supporting public and private companies as they design compensation structures specific to their business needs, stage and the challenges they face.
- Benchmarking of executive compensation from peer selection, through analysis and report development.
- Conducting research on relevant compensation trends in support of client queries and reports, client events and webinars.
- Supporting client engagements involving assessing business challenges, designing solutions and supporting the RFP process with the client, Procurement and Legal teams.
- Provide input for high calibre professional advice including client reports.
- Developing technical knowledge on Executive Compensation. To include UK / EMEA corporate governance on Executive Compensation, incentive design including selection of performance measures, performance calibration, equity plan valuations, benchmarking and ideally financial services regulation. Working on equity compensation, modelling of financial impact.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

- Highly numerate - experience navigating and building models in Excel preferred.
- Potential to present and articulate ideas to clients and within the team, providing practical context when communicating technical knowledge of executive compensation.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of remuneration and the issues affecting reward to include incentive design experience, including selection of performance measures and performance calibration.
- Interest in commercial world and in developing sector knowledge of clients to understand the current challenges and outlook. Our sector specialisms include the financial services, technology and life sciences sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree level education strongly encouraged. Particularly relevant degree include (but are not limited to) economics, business, law and international relations.
